Professional Organizations and Memberships

Why should you care if your tax or financial advisor belongs to professional associations? 

Professional Organizations and memberships bring periodicals, e-newsletters and alerts, seminars and conventions, and access to colleagues and other resources from around the country to work through the most difficult of tax and financial issues. 

I think it really matters which organizations you choose to belong to, and how you utilize that to enhance your professional development. 

I choose to belong and participate only in professional organizations that provide me with current and frequent information I can use.   Also, I only maintain membership in the associations which preach and practice my standard and professioanl ethic for honest, integrity-based service.
