Professional Tax Preparation for Individuals

Individual income tax issues are the foundation of CAYATAX, INC.  I have been preparing individual tax returns for over 19 years.  I started by working with my mother, Mary Caya, who practiced for 50 years. 

The fact that we are an INDIVIDUAL practice is important.  Many non-franchise tax practices dedicate a large percentage of their time to corporation and large partnership returns.  The individual client can get lost in the shuffle, having their return primarily completed by a less-qualified or non-credentialed staff.

Our focus is the individual client.  We specialize and practice on tax and financial issues impacting individuals, including sole-proprietors, farmers, families, students, and retirees.

We are not a Certified Public Accounting (CPA) firm.  CPA's provide expert accounting services, and typically specialize in accounting and tax issues for large businesses, partnerships, and corporations.  If we feel your business requires Certified Public Accounting, we will refer you to one of our recommended professionals, and work with you and them to assure a good start.

This is a solo practice and I am an Enrolled Agent, passing an extensive IRS issued exam, and required to maintain professional standards and continuing education in tax matters.  Enrolled Agents typically specialize in individual tax matters.

If you are an individual and find yourself in either a CPA office or a franchise tax shop, you need to ask about the qualifications and experience of the person who will be working on your return. 

My support staff will assist with expert bookkeeping, client services and compliance, but tax law and advice services start and end at my desk
