We can help solve your IRS or State tax problems

"Come back into the light"

If you owe money to the IRS, you are not alone!  Millions of Americans are facing stressful tax problems that are hard to address on their own.

I know you've seen the ads on TV or heard on the radio; national companies claiming to be experts in solving your back-tax issues.  Smiling faces on people bragging about how much less they payed than what the IRS said they owed.

I am not one of those guys.  I won't promise you I can make your tax problem magically disappear.  I'm no Roni Deutch.

The truth is solving tax problems takes hard work.  It means working within the system to use the available means of relief.  You have to make the right argument, based upon your situation.  You have to treat the IRS and state employees with respect instead of aggression.   I have found that most revenue agents are willing to help, but you have to give them facts and appeals which fit into their abilty to reduce the amount owed.  You have to work dilligently and promptly, presenting facts and applying emotion only when appropriate.

I have had a very high rate of success in solving tax problems.  I understand the complexity of the issues and how to interact with the IRS on your behalf. As an Enrolled Agent, I can represent you during examinations, audits, collections or tax court, even if I didn't prepare the original return.  Only Enrolled Agents, CPA's or Attorneys can perform that level of representation.

Doing nothing will not make the problem go away!  If you owe back taxes, the IRS may soon be sending you a notice to indicate garnishment of wages, your pension, your savings, your property, or even your social security checks.  You can solve these issues.  It won't be magic and it wont feel like you got a "steal", but you can stop looking over your sholder and get back into the light.

If you do have a tax issue that you have been afraid to deal with, contact me.  I won't charge for the initial consultation, and my rates for representation or back-tax issues are fair.

Tax Debt and Innocent Spouses

Many married taxpayers choose to file a joint tax return because of certain benefits this filing status allows.  Both taxpayers are jointly and individually responsible for the tax and any interest or penalty due on the joint return even if they later divorce. This is true even if a divorce decree states that a former spouse will be responsible for any amounts due on previously filed joint returns.  One spouse may be held responsible for all the tax due even if all the income was earned by the other spouse.

Do You Qualify for an Offer in Compromise?

The objective of the IRS’ Offer in Compromise (OIC) program is to accept an offer for less than the amount of tax that’s owed when it is in the best interest of both the taxpayer and the government and promotes voluntary compliance with all future payment and filing requirements.
